Job Responsibilities

We work in a cross-professional team with a person-centered approach, which means putting the individual with their unique needs, abilities, and life stories at the center of care. The work is conducted at the reception and, if necessary, outside the reception. The team consists of a social worker, occupational therapist, speech therapist, psychologist, physiotherapist, nurse, and special educator.

As a social worker, you will work with psychosocial treatment, provide information about community support and social legislation. You will also convey knowledge about disabilities to patients and their relatives. The role includes collaborating with and facilitating contact with other services, as well as being a knowledge resource. A well-planned introduction is essential for us, and you will have the opportunity for continuous support from colleagues at your workplace and in the region. At Habilitation, you will receive regular supervision for both the team and your professional group.

About the Workplace

The Habilitation in Varberg/Falkenberg is one of four reception centers in Halland providing habilitative services to children, youth, and adults with various forms of disabilities. The department is divided into three teams, two of which work with children up to 18 years old and one with adults from 18 years old. The positions are based in Varberg, but work will also take place in Falkenberg. The department has extensive collective experience and a desire for continuous development to meet patients' needs in the best way.

The adult habilitation is HBTQI-certified.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. Experience in habilitation, teamwork, and working with people with disabilities is advantageous, as well as planning and conducting group activities and supportive conversations.

The adult habilitation is responsible for Falkenberg and Varberg, which is why a B driver's license is required. A leasing car is available. You will mainly have your workplace in Varberg and will start from there.

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, the ability to plan and structure your work, take initiative, and be flexible. You have an empathetic approach with the ability to maintain professional boundaries. You enjoy being involved in common issues at the workplace and contributing to continuous improvements. Computer skills are expected. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
